Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 July 2026. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. What Sadaqa Direct is
Sadaqa Direct is a platform that connects people who want to give charity (sadaqa) directly with people and causes collecting it. Donations are transferred directly between the giver and the campaign owner — for example by bank transfer. Sadaqa Direct never holds, processes, or takes a share of any donation.
Because money moves directly between people, Sadaqa Direct is not a bank, payment processor, or regulated charity. We provide the meeting place and safety measures, but every donation is a private transfer made at the donor's own judgement and risk.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You must provide your real name and a working email address, and verify that email before starting a campaign.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done from your account.
3. Rules for campaigns
Every campaign is reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to donors. We may approve, reject, or ask for more information at our sole discretion.
Your campaign must be truthful: the story, photos, videos, amounts, and location must honestly describe a real need.
The bank or payment details on a campaign must belong to you or to the person/organisation you clearly name in the campaign.
You must post honest progress updates when you receive donations, and confirm received donations so the collection bar stays truthful.
One person may not run multiple campaigns for the same need, and you may not impersonate any person or organisation.
4. What is not allowed
Campaigns that are false, exaggerated, or misleading in any way.
Campaigns that raise money for anything illegal, for violence, for hatred, or for any individual or group subject to sanctions.
Campaigns for gambling, interest-based debt schemes, or anything fraudulent.
Using someone else's photos, story, or identity without their permission.
Harassment of donors, campaign owners, or our team.
5. What can stop (suspend or remove) your fundraiser
We can suspend or permanently remove any campaign, at any time and without notice, if: we receive credible reports that it is dishonest; we cannot verify claims made in it; the bank details appear to belong to someone not named in the campaign; the campaign breaks any rule in section 3 or 4; or we are required to act by law.
A suspended campaign disappears from public view immediately. Repeated or serious violations lead to the whole account being closed and any other campaigns removed.
If your campaign is suspended and you believe this is a mistake, contact us at support@sadaqadirect.com.
6. For donors
Donations go directly from you to the campaign owner. Sadaqa Direct cannot refund, reverse, or retrieve a donation — only your bank may be able to.
Campaign review reduces fraud but cannot eliminate it. Give thoughtfully: prefer campaigns with verified details, start small with people you don't know, and report anything suspicious to support@sadaqadirect.com.
The amount you log with a donation is kept private and is shown to no one except the campaign owner.
7. Liability
Sadaqa Direct provides the platform "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses arising from donations, from campaign content, or from the conduct of users. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform grows. Meaningful changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use Sadaqa Direct after a change means you accept the updated terms.
